DAYRELL HOTEL & CONVENTION CENTRE
Anna has been managing this enterprise, located in Belo Horizonte – capital of the Brazilian State of Minas - Gerais since 1995. She made use of her collection
of Oriental Textiles acquired around the world to decorate the public areas of the hotel and the vast walls of the convention centre with rich samples of Indian silks, and her own compositions made up by Oriental Textiles mostly from South-East Asia, framed
with golden wood and sometimes marbles.
ABOUT HER FIRST BOOK PUBLISHED –
"PINDORAMA AND ANCIENT HUMAN TRAILS” by A.L.P. GOUTHIER:
Non-fiction,
432 pages, colour illustrations, research on pre-historic
humans trailing from Africa into the American Continent.
Available through Amazon Books, in both English and Portuguese;
In colour or in the black-and-white version.
This is non-fiction publication based on the author’s extensive research on pre-historic humans trailing out of Africa to the American Continent, long before the arrival of the Portuguese,
the Spanish and the English.
The inspiration for this book was based on the very surprising find of an indigenous forebear, who lived in the first half of the years 1800, because until than
the family believed to descend mainly from the Portuguese and the English. Upon this finding Anna started to research about the people of this ancestor, the Krenac - also known in Brazil as the Botocudos, and through this found out little known information
about peopling of the American Continent before the European Colonization.
The Krenac people, she explains, are now thought that they reached South America as early
as 15 000 years before present, and are thought to be genetically related to the Clovis People - the most ancient inhabitants of North America. Thus led by Linguistics and other sciences, the author followed the Krenac trail from the Southern Continent all
the way through North America, and later across the Bering Straits to Mongolia and Eritrea.
A.L.P. Gouthier first wrote her book in English and later translated it into Portuguese,
and has by now published both versions in Brazil. But these publications can also be found worldwide through Amazon Books.
The author is presently negotiating to have her
book published in English and in Spanish speaking countries, as to make known her amazing findings about the previously unknown realizations of pre-historic people, whose civilization declined and disappeared long before the period of colonization.
ABOUT NEXT BOOK:
“BRONZE WARRIOR” by A.L.P. GOUTHIER.
A biographical anthology, expected at the latest in 2020, both in English and
in Portuguese.
The story in “BRONZE WARRIOR”, which is presented in prose, is accompanied by a collection of poems previously written by the author, starting with the story of
her parents and on through her life in Brazil, America and England, as well as some of her experiences around the world.
ANASTASIA PERSEPHONE CREATIONS
Anna Gouthier has also as from
2016 created a collection exclusive Hand-Bags under the label of Anastasia Persephone, which is an offshoot of the author’s collection of countries visited and her fascination with textiles. And this is also the name of the narrator
and main character of her books.
In the hospitality business, Anna found that she was often left with the remains
of beautiful textiles that had been used for upholstery, which she wished to use for some practical purpose. Additionally, each time she found herself in a far-off country, she continued to collect local textiles which are used in the making of her Hand-Bags.
The three collections so far created are therefore apply named - Recycled, Handcrafted or Exotic - each of which she personally idealized and decorated, are later marketed and sold online and in shops in Brazil.
